Salon du Chocolat in Milan will gather together more than 400 exhibitors

For second time, chocolate lovers, chefs and producers gather again in Milan, Italy to celebrate the Salon du Chocolat. In 2015 this event brought together about twenty thousand people and, it is expected that this one exceeds thirty-five thousand visitors, demonstrating the great call that it already represents in a city considered a capital of fashion, design and food lovers.

The activity will take place from February 9 to 12 at the Milan Convention Centre (with 8,400 meters of exhibition space) and will bring together producers from Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Russia, Japan and Canada, among other countries, showcasing in 400 stands.

Grand master chocolate makers and chefs will also attend the event. Among them Ernst Knam, Carlo Cracco, Iginio Massari, Davide Oldani, Davide Comaschi and Andrea Besuschio, who will take charge of shows, events and other cultural initiatives. There will also be plenty of room available for cocoa-producing countries, including Cameroon, one of the world’s largest producers of quality cocoa, which will have an information and education booth to show how African cocoa plantations play an essential role in its economy and support for country’s growth. This booth will be assisted by ASICA (Italian-Cameroonian Chamber of Commerce).

Likewise, there will be a special stand dedicated to chocolate making lessons, a new chocoshopping area for purchasing chocolate and pralines as well as the so-called “chocolate gallery”. Additionally, there will be a special fashion show featuring creations by the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan.

As February is the month of love, the event will feature a special meeting with the master chocolate maker Ernst Knam, known as “The King of Chocolate”, who will craft a chocolate sculpture in honour of and as a symbol of the event, which will welcome the guests at the entrance. This chef will have a special 60 square meters stand for masterclasses on chocolate making and presenting the new projects for 2017, in addition to meeting with fans and lovers from chocolate world

Some of the exhibitors are Amaro, Amedei, Bonajuto, Aruntam, Cacao Crudo, Cecilia and Paul, Momotombo Chocolate Factory, Chocolaterie, Chocostore, ChocoMe, Chokkino, Cioccolato Argento, Ernst Knam, Majani, Modi, Duyvis Wiener, Quetzal and Venchi, among others

There will also be a Bean to bar space, dedicated to those who take the cocoa bean to a chocolate bar, with the active participation of experts working in cocoa plantations. As it took place in the previous edition, there will be brand identity designs with the Grand Prix award, boosted by TNV Media Group.
